These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Manara Fellows website. The website and Manara Fellows programs are operated by Manara Fellows LLC (“Manara,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
1. About Manara
Manara Fellows provides international fellowship experiences designed for young adults ages 18–22. The information on this website is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute an offer, guarantee of availability, reservation, or agreement to provide fellowship services.
2. Use of This Website
Visitors may use this website for lawful, personal, and informational purposes. Users may not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, use automated systems to improperly access or extract website content, or use Manara content for unauthorized commercial purposes.
3. Requesting Information
Submitting a request for Japan Fellowship details does not reserve a place, create an enrollment agreement, or require payment. A place is reserved only after Manara Fellows confirms receipt of the applicable reservation deposit.
4. Fellowship Information
Manara makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate and current information. Fellowship dates, schedules, itineraries, activities, accommodations, transportation arrangements, mentors, speakers, locations, and other program elements may change when reasonably necessary. Website descriptions should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a particular hotel, activity, mentor, speaker, transportation provider, or itinerary element will be provided.
5. Tuition, Reservation Deposit, and Refunds
5.1 Fellowship Tuition and Deposit
The Japan Fellowship tuition is $8,950 USD unless a different amount is clearly stated at checkout. A $1,000 reservation deposit is required to reserve a place in a selected cohort. The deposit is credited in full toward the fellowship tuition, leaving a remaining balance of $7,950.
The remaining balance, payment schedule, and any additional participant-cancellation terms will be provided in the applicable Fellowship Enrollment Agreement.
5.2 Fourteen-Day Deposit Refund
The $1,000 reservation deposit is fully refundable when the purchaser submits a written cancellation request within 14 calendar days after the deposit payment date.
Cancellation requests must be emailed to info@manarafellows.com and include the purchaser’s name, the fellow’s name, and the selected cohort.
Refunds under this section will be returned to the original payment method. Payment-processing times may vary.
After the applicable refund period, the reservation deposit is nonrefundable except when Manara Fellows cancels the cohort, as otherwise stated in the Fellowship Enrollment Agreement, or when a longer refund or cancellation right is required by applicable law.
5.3 Cancellation by Manara Fellows
If Manara Fellows cancels the selected cohort, the purchaser may choose either:
A transfer of all amounts paid to another available cohort; or
A full refund of all amounts paid directly to Manara Fellows.
Accepting a transfer is optional. The purchaser may instead request a full refund.
Refunds are limited to amounts paid directly to Manara Fellows. Unless required by applicable law, Manara Fellows is not responsible for airfare, passports, visas, insurance, personal purchases, or other third-party expenses. Participants should avoid purchasing nonrefundable transportation or other travel arrangements until the cohort has been confirmed in writing.
5.4 Participant Cancellation After the Refund Period
If a participant cancels after the applicable deposit-refund period, the $1,000 reservation deposit is nonrefundable. The treatment of any additional tuition payments will be governed by the cancellation schedule in the applicable Fellowship Enrollment Agreement and any nonwaivable rights provided by law.
5.5 Eligibility and Required Documentation
Reservations are subject to the fellow meeting the published eligibility requirements, including being between 18 and 22 years old at departure, and completing all required participant, emergency-contact, travel-document, and acknowledgment forms by the stated deadlines.
5.6 Additional Legal Rights
Nothing in these Terms limits any cancellation, refund, or consumer-protection right that cannot legally be waived. If applicable law provides a longer cancellation or refund period, that longer period will control.
6. Enrollment Agreement Controls
Participation in a Manara fellowship is governed by a separate Fellowship Enrollment Agreement and related participant documents issued by Manara Fellows LLC. If there is any conflict between information presented on this website and an executed Fellowship Enrollment Agreement, the Fellowship Enrollment Agreement controls.
7. Intellectual Property
The Manara Fellows name, branding, website design, written content, original photographs, graphics, assessment content, fellowship materials, program materials, and other original content are owned by or licensed to Manara Fellows LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Website content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, published, sold, or commercially exploited without appropriate authorization.
8. Third-Party Websites and Services
The website may contain links to or information concerning third-party websites, service providers, or other organizations. Manara does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, privacy practices, availability, or independent terms.
9. Website Availability and Accuracy
Manara may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue portions of the website at any time. While reasonable efforts are made to maintain accurate information, Manara does not warrant that every piece of website content will always be complete, current, or error-free.
10. Disclaimer
Use of this website is at the visitor’s own discretion. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and its content are provided without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. Participant enrollment documentation addresses fellowship-specific provisions separately.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Manara Fellows LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related specifically to use of this website or reliance on its content. This section does not serve as a participant liability waiver for any fellowship.
This limitation relates solely to use of the website and does not govern liability arising from participation in a Manara fellowship. Fellowship-specific terms, acknowledgments, and risk provisions are addressed separately in the applicable enrollment documents.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
13. Changes to These Terms
Manara may update these Terms periodically. The effective date at the top of the page identifies the current version.
