Manara was founded on a simple belief: the people we spend time with shape who we become.
Every Manara fellowship is personally led by founder Amr Younes, providing every fellow with consistent mentorship, thoughtful reflection, and personal guidance throughout the journey.
Before founding Manara, Amr spent more than two decades in executive leadership roles across the travel and technology industries, including senior roles at Airbnb, Air Canada and Thomas Cook. Throughout his career, he has worked across more than 70 countries, building international partnerships, leading global teams, and collaborating across cultures.
As the father of five, Amr believes the most important lessons in life are developed through challenge, responsibility, and meaningful human connection. Rather than simply showing fellows the world, he helps them learn how to navigate it — with greater confidence, independence, and perspective.
Throughout the fellowship, fellows also take part in Private Leadership Conversations with invited guest mentors — including former diplomats, military leaders, university professors, entrepreneurs, and senior business executives. These interactive conversations offer rare access to accomplished leaders who openly share the decisions, setbacks, and experiences that shaped their careers.
